My Story…

My journey to remedial massage is one of self-insight and discovery into the kind of person I am and how helping people brings my heart joy.

I started my career in the construction industry at 20 years of age and was very fortunate enough to work with an amazing company and with some amazing people that saw I had a great work ethic and always strived to do my best. My role changed quickly and I had to adapt due to a lot of ongoing changes within the business, all of which gave me great opportunity to expand and grow. However, after 5 years of intense work life, I realised that I wasn’t happy or fulfilled and needed to make some changes. I started to focus on my health first. Eating healthier, cutting caffeine and alcohol, exercising, improving my sleep, and seeking treatments for my mind and body. I then also started to look within and realised some of my relationships were also impacting my wellbeing. After seeking some professional help, I had some self-realisations of who I am and that the relationships and type of work I was doing at the time wasn’t speaking to my soul. Things weren’t aligned and it needed to change. So with that, I started looking at courses that spoke to me. I knew I wanted to do something to help people, but remedial massage wasn’t necessarily on my radar at the time. After some research I decided remedial massage was for me and went for it! I studied part-time whilst also continuing my full-time job. Completing my diploma in 2017 I started immediately in January 2018 and haven’t looked back. Since then I have transitioned out of the construction industry, whilst also having two babies. This work has and still does bring me great joy and I enjoy every second of it!
